Xi'Paal Kaab (Bee Child)

"Xi'Paal Kaab," or Bee Child, is an impressive 8-meter-high sculpture that seamlessly intertwines art, culture, and nature. Constructed from 90% reclaimed materials sourced from the lush jungles of the Quintana Roo peninsula—such as roots, branches, and various types of wood—this sculpture harmonizes beautifully with its surroundings.

Rino, the artist and co-founder of RADICAL DESIGN, drew inspiration from the legendary Aluxes of Mayan culture to craft this stunning piece. It embodies the essence of Mexico's rich cultural heritage while conveying a powerful message of harmony and environmental stewardship.

Inaugurated in September 2023 at the Sandos Caracol Resort, Xi'Paal Kaab sets a foundation for a new style of artistic expression within the hotel industry, inviting guests to appreciate both artistry and nature.
